The Founding Moment
A Problem Hidden in Plain Sight
In classrooms across Asia, something troubling was happening. Students who could solve complex problems in their native language were failing standardised tests — not because they lacked understanding, but because the academic English used to ask the questions was itself a barrier.
Research confirmed what teachers already knew: reducing linguistic complexity in exam questions narrows the performance gap between English learners and native speakers by up to 50%. The problem was not intelligence. It was language.
Saptarshi, Ryan, and Peter had each seen this from different angles — as educators, as technologists, and as people who had navigated multilingual education systems themselves. In 2022, they decided to stop observing the problem and start solving it.
Qureo was born from a simple but radical belief: every child deserves to be understood on their own terms.

Saptarshi leads Qureo's vision, product strategy, and technology architecture. With a background spanning education, enterprise technology, and AI, he drives both the company's commercial direction and the engineering roadmap behind the Qureo Learning Model (QLM). His conviction — that every child is a genius waiting for the right conditions — is the founding principle that shapes every decision at Qureo.

Ryan steers Qureo's financial strategy, investor relations, and business growth. With a strong background in finance and venture-backed startups across Asia, he ensures Qureo scales sustainably — building the commercial foundation that allows the platform to reach every learner who needs it. Ryan believes that the most important investment a society can make is in the education of its next generation.

Peter So
Co-Founder & COO
Peter oversees Qureo's day-to-day operations, school partnerships, and go-to-market execution. Having worked closely with schools and educators across Southeast Asia, he understands the daily reality of classrooms — the 30 students at 30 different levels, the teacher stretched too thin, the parent who just won't their child to love learning again. Peter ensures Qureo delivers on its promises, not just in product, but in practice.
